Edgard Stuber is a design-thinking specialist focusing on the resolution of complex problems. He combines 30 years of experience as a senior executive in the automotive parts industry and machinery sector with in-depth academic knowledge as a result of his doctoral thesis in Philosophy Science.
In 2010, Edgard founded Stuber Inovação & Resolução de Problemas, and, since then, generated value for organizations through customized projects and mentoring for solving problems in environments of high uncertainty and ambiguity.
Throughout his career at Freudenberg, a German-based global company, Edgard brought to market new products and services, working closely with the headquarters and innovation teams in Germany and automotive customers in Brazil. Between 2000 and 2004, he was Director of the automotive aftermarket at Freudenberg for Latin America, directing global projects using the Toyota Production System (Lean System) to reduce waste in manufacturing as well as in administrative areas.
From 2004 to 2010, as Vice President of Marketing and Sales for Stihl Brazil, Edgard worked with the Board of Directors of the Stihl Group, leading the modernization and professionalization efforts at the Brazilian subsidiary. Main achievements include the redefinition of the organization’s strategy; a significant increase in revenue and profit; the overhaul of product and service portfolio; the redesign of sales channels; the implementation of strategic segmentation of markets; and the introduction of innovation management and knowledge-sharing processes.
Edgard is a professor of Design Thinking with the Institute of Education and Research at Insper, as well as with FIA Business School in short-term postgraduate programs.
