Improving Bilingual Education

Project Description

The evidence-based BBILY project (Bilingual Biliterate Instruction for Bilingual Youth) is developing high-quality online workshops in Spanish for k-8 Dual Language (DL) educators. BBILY workshops will provide preservice and inservice teachers in California and New Mexico with professional development to improve instruction for English Learners.

BBILY is managed by the University of California at Davis and is funded by a $2.6 million 5-year grant from the United States Department of Education. By the end of the project, BBILY will have impacted 200 preservice teachers, 540 inservice teachers, and 78 caregivers.

IntoActions is working with the R&D Team to redesign and improve the online learning experience of the participants in the BBILY online workshops.
